Off the needles - Abstract Cardigan

I've just finished this arty cardi for my mum. It was a bit of a challenge to work outside of my usual comfort zone in terms of style and colour combos but she's really pleased with it and so am I (after a fair bit of anxt!).

On the needles - The Gimmick

Work in progress - this version of a versatile little 50s number. I've made a couple of design tweaks to improve the fit and finish - knitting it in the round and I've added a diamond shaped panel of K1, P1 rib at each side to nip the waist in a bit.
